Data controller

We have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not required to.

What we collect

When you use the enquiry form or write to us, we collect your name, email address, the organisation you give (optional) and the details you choose to include. We collect only what you send us.

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics or third-party scripts on this site. No cookie is set other than those strictly necessary for the site to function.

Why we use it, and on what basis

We use it solely to respond to your enquiry and, where a mandate follows, to take steps at your request before entering an engagement. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR — steps taken at your request prior to a contract. Where an enquiry does not lead to an engagement, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering correspondence addressed to us.

We do not use your details for marketing, we do not sell or share them, and no decision affecting you is taken by automated means.

Who else sees it

Your message passes through the providers that operate this site and deliver our email:

• Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts the site and processes the form submission;
• Resend, Inc., which delivers the resulting email to us.

They act as processors on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes. Beyond them, your data is seen only by us, and is disclosed to third parties only where we are legally obliged to do so.

Transfers outside the EEA

These providers are established outside the European Economic Area. Where your data is transferred outside the EEA, the transfer is covered by the safeguards provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR — the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, on which both Cloudflare, Inc. and Resend, Inc. rely.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for 24 months from our last contact. Where a mandate begins, retention is governed by the engagement and by the record-keeping obligations that apply to us under Irish law — including those arising from anti-money-laundering legislation, which require records to be kept for a defined period after the relationship ends.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your personal data. To exercise any of these, write to contact@brunetpartners.com. We reply to every request, and we do not charge for it.

Some of these rights are limited where we are under a legal obligation to retain records.

Complaints

If you believe your data has been mishandled, you may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission, Ireland (dataprotection.ie).

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version is published here with a new effective date.
