Start with the position.
Tell us what you hold and what was agreed at entry. That is enough for a first conversation, and it is where every mandate begins.
What happens next
Three steps, in this order.
A conversation
We discuss the holding: what you own, what the transaction provided for, and what remains at the discretion of others. No charge, and no obligation on either side.
Client due diligence
If we proceed, we carry out the identity and source-of-funds checks required of us under Irish anti-money-laundering legislation. Every client goes through this, without exception.
An engagement letter
A written mandate setting out the scope of the work, what we undertake, what falls outside it, and the fees. Nothing begins before it is signed.

One thing to note
What we can and cannot answer by email.
We are glad to explain how a mechanism works, what an instrument can be built to protect, and how a mandate is structured. Those answers are general, and we give them freely.
What we cannot do by correspondence is assess your particular situation, or express any view on an investment. The first requires the documents and the engagement; the second falls outside what we do at all.
